The Sophia smock has a slim fit and runs slightly small. If you're trying to decide between a M or L, we would suggest a Large. Please check your body measurements against our size chart before purchasing.
HOW TO MEASURE
Take measurements over the thinnest layer of clothing possible. Make sure the tape measure is snug around your body. Do not pull it too tight or leave a finger underneath. Ensure a flat measurement against the body. Make sure that the tape measure is straight around the front and the back of the body (level with the ground while standing). We advise taking the measurement twice to ensure accuracy.
BUST: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, around the apex of your nipple. Drop your arms.
WAIST: This should be the smallest part of your torso, between your bust and your hip.
HIPS: Measure the largest or fullest part of your body below the waist. This is not your hip bone. This is generally around the fullest part of the bottom and/or thigh, depending on your shape. This measurement is generally approximately 8 in. below the waist line.

I searched everywhere for smocks that were both functional and stylish, but I couldn't find any with vertical zippered pockets, longer length, side slits, and durable zippers. So, I decided to create them! Now, after wearing my work uniforms, people constantly tell me they never realized how uncomfortable their other work clothes were. I have to disagree with the reviewer that said this smock runs small. They probably need to measure themselves, and they’d see that they ordered too small. The size chart is very accurate, but this smock is more fitted. It’s not oversized, and boxy like most old school grooming smocks. I purchased two of these Sophia smocks, in two different patterns. The cut is just as important to me, as the adorable print of the fabric. It is very flattering, and well made. The presentation was also amazing. Between the nicely packed box, lined with red tissue paper, to the Hershey bar that was thrown in for Valentines Day, someone took great care in packing the parcel. I haven’t worn either smock yet, but they both feel well tailored, and sewn. They feel like they should last a long time, with proper care.
And there was a tarot card type printed fluffy throw, that was a free gift. It is SO nice! Much nicer quality than a $5 Walmart fleece throw. It’s BIG, and very fluffy and soft. The blanket is quite nice!!
