Learn how to use a poodle's natural structure and angulation to create balanced, flattering trims that pet parents love. Melissa will demonstrate how to identify and work with a dog's anatomy, using scissoring and finishing techniques to enhance shape, proportion, and overall appearance.

Meet the Educator

Melissa Abbott is a Canadian Certified Master Groomer, award-winning competitive groomer, and respected educator. In 2026, she earned first place in the Poodle category at the World Grooming Championship in Belgium, helping Groom Team Canada secure team gold. She leads the grooming team at The Foxy Hound in Chilliwack, British Columbia, and brings extensive expertise in precision scissoring, show trims, and competitive grooming to her educational demonstrations.

Discover approachable ways to personalize your grooms, especially for the holidays, without complicated designs or time-consuming techniques.

Meet the Educator

Adriane Pope has been a professional groomer since 1992 and founded Adriane’s Groom and Go in 1994. An award-winning creative grooming competitor, she earned first-place wins at the 2017 World Championship Creative Grooming Competition and Groom Expo. Her work has appeared on CBS, in Groomer to Groomer magazine, and in HBO’s documentary Well Groomed. Now retired from competition, Adriane shares her expertise through education and judging and has served on the Wahl education team since 2020.

Meet the Educator

Jessica Adorno is a Master Shear Artist, international educator, and founder of Pupparazzi Pets Mobile Grooming, with over 22 years of professional grooming experience. A brand specialist for Kenchii Shears and Joyzze Clippers, she also partners with Hanvey Engineering & Design and created the Tormenta shear collection by Kenchii. Known for her precision scissoring and approachable teaching style, Jessica helps groomers build confidence, improve efficiency, and find more joy in their craft.

More than demonstrations: Each 55-minute session includes live panel discussion, followed by a full hour of Q&A with all three educators.
